During a meeting with the Spanish Ambassador, Mr. Pedro Martinez Avial Martin, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abdul Sahib reviewed the prospects for academic cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Abdul Sahib stressed on that the Iraqi university institutions are working according to the standards of global cooperation in the scientific and research fields and cultural exchange with the countries.
His Excellency expressed the Ministry’s keenness on developing aspects of understanding with Spanish universities and providing a sustainable environment for recognized academic cooperation.
Dr. Abdul Sahib called on the establishing of the Iraqi-Spanish University, trending towards attracting and exchanging students, professors and researchers and employing expertise that meet the requirements of comprehensive development at the educational, economic and industrial levels.
For his side, Mr. Martinez expressed his appreciation for this meeting’ as well as the Spanish side’s readiness on exerting more cooperation and seriousness and responsible for supporting agreements and understandings between the two sides, especially promoting joint cultural exchange.
