As part of the university's projects for sustainability and to benefit from modern mechanization, the University of Basrah signed a contract with the Basra Dates Press of the Department of Agriculture.
The contract aims to employ that press, which was suspended from production for a long time, by the University of Basrah in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, to be a great achievement that contributes to reviving the economy and employing the largest number of the unemployed.
The contract included the operation of the Basra date press, the first press in the governorate to produce and distribute the finest types of dates, and it will be managed using the best scientific methods by the University of Basrah.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah seeks, through its partnerships with various departments, to open up prospects for joint cooperation in several areas to develop the economic and service reality in the province.
