A discussion was conducted for the research of a postgraduate diploma student (Mortadha Hameed Khafeef) in the Department of Ecology - College of Science - University of Basrah, which was entitled "Determination of heavy metals in fish species collected from local markets in Basrah Governorate".
The research recommended that necessary to environmental awareness for the consumer and seller, monitoring for the imported fish, and urging sellers to use the correct ways for transporting, storing and preserving of fish.
