The thesis dealt with (the study of John Maynard Keynes and his economic role in Britain and Western Europe for the period 1914-1929, as one of the most prominent British economists, whose ideas and proposals had a major role in financing his country’s war effort and then preserving its economy from collapse, as well as his contributions to peace negotiations In Paris in 1919, in addition to his efforts to persuade the victorious countries to provide relief to the defeated countries after the war (1919-1929).
The thesis aims to reveal this personality and know its thought and its role in the economic projects and theories that it put forward, as well as the resonance of this role at the political and social levels.
The thesis concluded (that John Maynard Keynes paid attention to the political aspects of maintaining a more stable international economic system, as the policies of the Western powers after World War I were very much in line with the general lines he advocated, and saw that this convergence and the economic and political leadership of Britain and the United States of America Both were vital to achieving broader international cooperation in the economic spheres and to avoiding the domination and control of the United States of America over the entire world economy, as well as laying the foundations for Anglo-American cooperation, and forming the bedrock of post-war economic internationalism.
