Within the university’s projects for sustainability and to benefit from modern mechanization, and only one week after the conclusion of the cooperation contract between Basrah University and Basra Agriculture Directorate, the dates press began to work and the first group of Basrah University dates was produced.
The official of the International Classifications Unit at the University of Basrah, Dr. Hussein Kateh Abdul-Sada, stated that the first group of the dates of the University of Basrah was produced with scientific academic expertise, and according to the directives of the university president, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, it will be distributed free of charge to the visitors of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah seeks, through its partnerships with various departments, to open the horizons of joint cooperation in several areas to develop the economic and service reality in the governorate and to employ the largest number of the unemployed.
