The Educational Guidance and Psychological Care Center at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Arts, organized an online symposium on the harms and ways of combating drugs.
The symposium included several topics, in which Dr. Hana Sadiq Al-Badran, Dr. Naima Latif Abdullah, and the Information Officer of the Basra Police Command, Brigadier General Bassem Ghanem Al-Maliki, focused on identifying the most important psychological damages of drugs and their psychological and social impact on the family and youth and ways to avoid and prevent them through the stages of psychological rehabilitation and intensification of publicity and community education to prevent the spread of this dangerous phenomenon.
