Direct guidance from the President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and with self-efforts, the university organized a procession to serve the visitors of the Arba’een of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Shalamcheh on the border with the Islamic Republic of Iran, where drinking water, fruits and refreshments were provided, in addition to logistical support with the participation of advanced cadres and university staff.
This initiative expresses the keenness of the University of Basrah and its pioneering role in serving society in its various sects and beliefs without discrimination at all levels, and dedicating academic and scientific expertise to put it in the field for a promising and bright future for future generations.
