A scientific study at the College of Science at the University of Basrah, prepared by Dr. Sahar Abdul-Abbas Malik Al-Saadi and researcher Shams Muhammad Abdul-Rasoul, studied the (Chemical composition and antioxidant activity of the Artemisia herba-alba Asteraceae).
The study was published in the Iran.J.Ichthyol journal which is classified within Scopus containers, classification number q3.
The research included studying the effective compounds of volatile oils and the antioxidant activity of Artemisia herba-alba, as well as studying the antioxidant activity of volatile oil using a substance (1,1-diplenyl-DPPH2picryl hydrazyl) and vitamin E (as a positive comparison).
