The Basrah and the Arabian Gulf Studies Center issued a book that includes the research papers that were discussed in the international conference of the great port of Al-Faw, which was held under the slogan (Challenges, Strategic Importance and Future Prospects) in cooperation with the General Company for Ports of Iraq.
The Director of the Center, Dr. Qais Nasser Rahi, stated that the publication included solid scientific research by researchers from Iraqi and regional universities that contributed to enriching the vision to complete the project of building the port from the economic, political and technical side, which included (540) pages divided according to the six topics of the conference, including the economic importance of the port, the importance of the port in international relations, the port’s geostrategic importance, the port’s provision of investment opportunities, recent experiences in port management, as well as the media aspect related to supporting publicity and education to complete it.
