PhD thesis at the University of Basra discussing the US Air Force and its role in World War II 1939-1945
In the history department of the student Issa Saad Issa
The thesis dealt with the American air force and its role in the victory of the allies in World War II by drying up the resources of the German military industry, supporting the ground forces and landing supplies, in an attempt to neutralize the Axis forces and their retreat, thus declaring their surrender in the middle of 1945.
The aim of the thesis is to show the impact of the strategic air bombardment carried out by the aircraft of the US Air Force through the progress of the ground forces and the reduction of human losses for the Allied forces. In the end, the most prominent conclusions of this force were that it was able, with merit, to turn the tide of war in favor of the allies and to adopt the method of attack instead of defense.
