Board research from the Iraqi Board of Medical Specializations at the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah discussed the levels of vitamin D and vitamin D receptors in children with developmental hip dysplasia.
The research presented by student Sahar Muhammad Musa aims to assess the difference in the levels of vitamin D and vitamin D receptors in the blood serum and their impact on developmental hip dysplasia in children and to compare the results of these examinations with what is currently supported by data and studies.
The research concluded that low levels of receptors are significantly associated with developmental hip dysplasia, and there is no difference in the levels of vitamin D, calcium and alkaline phosphatase between developmental dysplasia children and healthy children.
