
The College of Dentistry University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “Student’s Guide In the Educational Clinics and Control of the Transmission of Infection” to teach the fifth-grade students the rules and instructions for entering the educational clinics and to adhere them.
The workshop was supervised by the Dean's Assistant in Scientific Affairs, Lecturer.Dr. Sundus Abdul Wadood and the Dean's Assistant in Administrative Affairs and Assistant. Professor, Dr. Rafid Mustafa AlBadr, in the full presence of the students of the fifth stage.
The workshop included a lecture by Dr. Ahmed Al-Momen, in which he explained the instructions to be followed before entering the clinics, such as wearing the lab coat, the mask, the identification ID, the medical gown, the head cap, the sterilization of tools before and after its use, the preparation of the case sheet, and dealing with the patient In a gentle and professional manner.
Al-Momen mentioned some of the prohibitions, warning students against following them, such as wearing jewelry, nail extensions and high heels, not eating meals inside clinics, using mobile phones and publishing medical cases on social media platforms.
Students participating In the workshop will receive a certificate of participation that qualifies them to enter the educational clinics.
The workshop aims to build a solid professional foundation for students to practice the profession of dentistry with high professionalism.
