The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop about “Positive Behavior Support PBS Orientation in Treating Behavioral Problems for Children and Teenagers Positive PBS.
The objectives of the workshop are to provide an introduction to the PBS approach and its use in treating common behavioral problems among normal children and handicapped.
The workshop presented by Dr. Walid Atman, Ph.D. in Special Education and Autism, Suez Canal University, included the applied approach in psychology, management, and behavior modification .. What is the difference? And the basic procedures in modifying behavior and the axes of dealing with behavioral problems from A to Z and supporting positive behavior from inception to the future.. and supporting positive behavior.. How does it work effectively with “evidence”? And when does a behavioral problem call
for "practical" intervention? And the punitive schools and the PBS approach.
In the end, the recommendation was the necessity to
use the PBS approach in schools, nurseries, rehabilitation and training centers for the handicapped, and in raising children from parents. Avoiding punitive methods at work, including children and adolescents.
