The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah held its annual evaluative conference for the academic year 2021-2022.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, presented some of the college's achievements and success during the past year in the scientific, administrative and community service fields, where the college's activities in developing its level had the greatest resonance through international classifications, the level of postgraduate and undergraduate studies, and the extent of the interaction and participation of professors through scientific events, including international and local workshops, symposia and electronic lectures, which will open ways to look forward to the world's scientific development.
Dr. Gibran Khalil Hassan reviewed the themes of the conference, which included the virtual and attendance scientific aspects, and how the teaching staff in the college contributed to bringing about a radical change in the level of education and support for scientific and research activity in all areas that serve the community. At the level of undergraduate studies, biological safety was added to the curricula of the second stage study and updating the curricula of some lessons such as pharmaceutical chemistry and medicinal drugs. In addition to concluding scientific agreements with local and foreign universities to twin the joint scientific work in order to advance the reality of education towards global development.
In his review of the college's achievements, Gibran also mentioned obtaining an advanced position in the national classification of Iraqi universities over the colleges of the medical group at the University of Basrah, as well as obtaining the first place in developing websites at the University of Basrah, the second place in the university's electronic week, and the first place in the university's inventory week.
