On Sunday morning, 16/10/2022, in the Department of history at the College of Arts University of Basrah, a master thesis entitled (History of the Arabs before Islam in the Lebanese magazine Al-Mashreq 1898-1947) was discussed.
The thesis presented by the student, Sahera Nabil Hussein, included a preface and four chapters.
The preface to Al-Mashreq magazine includes the definition of Al-Mashreq magazine and its editors and models of articles and the financing of the magazine and its agents. The first chapter discussed the political life of the Arabs before Islam in the Lebanese magazine Al-Mashreq,the second chapter dealt with the economic life of the Arabs before Islam in the Lebanese magazine Al-Mashreq,the third chapter discussed the religious life of the Arabs before Islam in the Lebanese magazine Al-Mashreq. and the fourth chapter dealt with the intellectual and cultural life of the Arabs before Islam in the Lebanese magazine Al-Mashreq.
The thesis aims to know the political, economic, religious and cultural conditions of the Arabs before Islam.
The thesis concluded that Al-Mashreq magazine is one of the comprehensive magazines on general conditions, which gave us a comprehensive idea of some conditions of the Arabs before Islam, including political, economic, social, intellectual, religious and cultural ones, and that the Lebanese magazine Al-Mashreq was greatly influenced by the Christian-Catholic religious trend by its inception.
