The counseling unit at the College of Education for Girls, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division and the Center for Educational Guidance and Psychological Care, presented a symposium entitled Health and psychological dimensions of breast cancer and its effects on women
The symposium dealt with health aspects, where Dr. Ghaleb pointed to the necessity of early and self-examination for breast cancer. He explained that breast cancer is one of the diseases, pains and lesions that occur in the breast, most of which are benign and cannot be treated simply, and cancer constitutes a small percentage of the nodes that appear at an early stage.

Dr. Hana Abdelnabi talked about the psychological effects and its effects on women’s lives, including feelings of guilt, fear of losing breasts or the end of life, voluntarily undergoing surgery, going through a critical psychological condition, feeling hopeless, discouraged, and abandoning families and children.
Dr. Hana Sadiq Al-Badran touched on the methods of prevention and strengthening the positive aspects, alerting the media to the necessity of early medical examination and providing the affected woman with a schedule that organizes her life and keeps her away from despair and despondency.
