Under the patronage of the the esteemed President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdul-Baqi Mahmoud, the public discussion of Master’s student Hala Khaled Hussein in the Department of Computer Science took place today, Thursday, 10-20-2022, about her research which is tagged (Detecting Electronic Forgery of Documents Using a New Fragile Watermark Generator) under the supervision of Dr. Raad Abdulhassan Muhajjarr from the Faculty of Information Technology and Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Technology, through which it addressed the problems of forgery and manipulation of governmental documents, In addition to developing a working mechanism that provides protection for these documents using steganography and watermarking techniques, which employed both hash techniques with visual cryptography to provide more security and reliability of the image. After extensive discussion by the committee in charge of the discussion and the student's defense of her research, the committee decided to accept the thesis after making some minor amendments to it with excellent grade.
