
A research team at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah, consisting of Dr. Alaa Abdul-Khaleq Hussein, Dr. Abdul-Bari Abbas Sahi and Dr. Rana Khalaf Abdul-Samad, obtained a patent for testing the effectiveness of high-efficiency honey propolis as an antibiotic to be prepared for the first time.
The patent included the use of honey propolis in the treatment of wounds created in the cornea of rabbits by means of sodium hydroxide, where honey propolis showed high effectiveness in the speed of wound healing.
