Dr. Hind Akram Al-Jubeir, ainstructor at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah, published a book entitled (Symbolic Signs in the Poetry of sa'alik to the End of the Umayyad Era).
The book, which included 323 pages divided into three main chapters, shed light on the investigation of the symbolic structure in the poetry of sa'alik until the end of the Umayyad era through a careful and deep reading of their creative texts, revealing their most prominent symbols that were associated with the elements of nature, the life of homelessness and anxiety, thus forming new symbolic connotations associated with the emotional experience of the tramp poet.
This critical study aimed at reviving the literary and poetic heritage of an important group of Arab poetry, as well as benefiting from this heritage in contemporary poetic studies and others.
