The College of Education for Humanities - University of Basra organized its annual evaluation conference entitled (diagnosis and evaluation of experiments as the basis for building strategies). The aim of the conference is to diagnose the experiences learned from these experiences, and study what has been achieved from the strategic plan adopted by the college, whether related to the international, Arab or local levels and at all levels.
The Dean of the College (Prof. Dr. Hamid Siraj Jaber) presented the topics related to the implementation plan of the strategy, how it was accomplished and facing the difficulties that may have hindered the work, but the efforts of the teachers, staff and administrators of the college were exceeded, and achieved what was planned scientifically, educationally and servicely.
The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs (Assistant Professor Dr. Nawfal Kazem Mahous) then read the recommendations of the conference emanating from the presentation on diagnosis. The first recommendations were the need to take into account humanitarian disciplines in classifications, promotions and scientific publishing in a manner commensurate with the nature of these disciplines, and not to include them in one officer with applied Applied research for the humanities and only adopting them from the beneficiaries, applying the Ministry's special books except for humanitarian specialties from demanding the research of SCOPAS and other containers, working to encourage its refereed scientific journals, not to underestimate the classification of the journals of humanitarian colleges, and recognizing impact transactions, because they are the result of the scientificity of these journals
Finally, the conference recommended that the large number of students in humanitarian departments should be dealt with inversely. Instead of reducing the ratings due to ratio and proportionality, additional points should be given because they manage these numbers.
