The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Technique), with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The seminar included a lecture given by Assistant Lecturer Hussein Muhammad Abboud explaining the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Technique, a technique widely used in molecular biology that derives its name from one of its basic elements, which is (DNA polymerase).
The polymerase chain reaction aims to multiply and form millions of copies of identical Deoxyribonucleic Acid molecules that are identical to the basic DNA template through enzymatic replication outside living organisms, and it has many applications, including cloning genetic genes, diagnosing some genetic diseases, and analyzing a person's genetic fingerprints in the framework of forensic medicine.
