The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture About nasogastric intubation. In which the assistant teacher, Saja Karim Jassim, a member of the faculty at the college, lectured The lecture, which was given to students of the second stage, dealt with the morning study of adult nursing, an introduction to this procedure of inserting a plastic tube through the nose, and continues to enter it until it reaches the stomach. The nasogastric tube is placed in many cases for the purpose of feeding or administering medicines in cases of inability to swallow or loss of consciousness for patients in the intensive care unit. It can also be used in cases of poisoning to wash the stomach, gastric lavage...The practical side dealt with how to perform nasogastric intubation, preparing the tools for this procedure, and applying it practically in front of students on simulated dolls. Why it can develop clinical skills among students.
