The College of Administration and Economics discussed a PhD thesis on (behavioral biases and their impact on financial performance in the framework of financial awareness for the period 2017-2021).
The researcher Hussein Karim Fadala’s thesis aims to understand and analyze the behavioral interpretations that most financial managers suffer from in the global financial markets in general and local ones in particular, by attempting to grasp behavioral finance theories that provide an explanation for irrational behaviors in investment decisions.
The thesis concluded that there is a negative impact of herd behavior bias on financial performance, but this relationship can be mitigated when financial managers obtain a sufficient level of financial awareness that enables rational decision-making.
