Assist. Prof. Dr. Aqeel Mohsin Ali, a lecturer in polymer research center, organized a workshop, entitled “Thermal conductivity in insulators”. The workshop explored the parameters that control heat transfer in polymer materials, described mechanism of heat conduction through phonons and expressed heat conduction rate by using Fourier’s equation. Measurement techniques of the thermal conductivity was also explored, which Steady-state method was covered extensively.
