The Department of Geology at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium entitled How to obtain hydrological and climatic data from the NASA website and other sites on the Internet. It was delivered by Professor Dr. Alaa Mohsen Attia.
It included a presentation of how to register on the NASA website and obtain data from the Giovanni website, especially for climate variables, and the Sentinel-Persiann data portal and the GLDAS website were reviewed to obtain information about land uses and soils.
