Basra University discusses (the accident of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor and its repercussions 1986)
A panel discussion at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra, Department of History discussed (the accident of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor and its repercussions in 1986). The most important nuclear accident in the world, as there has never been an explosion of this size during the period of the conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States of America, because of its great impact on the regional and international levels. The message aimed to know the causes of the accident and its political and economic repercussions on Ukraine and the Soviet Union, and to know international reactions. The researcher divided the message into an introduction and conclusion and four chapters dealing with the first chapter: the historical development of the construction of the Chernobyl reactor until 1986.
The second chapter came: the Chernobyl accident and the measures taken in 1986.
While the third chapter discussed: the impact of the Chernobyl accident on the Soviet Union and its repercussions.
The fourth chapter: the international position on the Chernobyl accident 1986.
