The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Sciences organized a workshop on the topic (E-government between theory and practice) with the participation of researchers and specialists,
The workshop included a lecture presented by Dr. (Ramez Mahdi Mahmoud Ashour)
It deals with (a summary of the definition of e-government, the difference between it and similar terms, the definition and the statement of benefits and objectives achieved by e-government in order to implement government jobs with high accuracy and infinite speed, and dispense with complex bureaucratic procedures)
The workshop discussed (the concept of e-government, and similar terms such as electronic management, and others, and the features of e-government were identified, the goals it achieves, and the need to move towards implementing e-government to keep pace with the rapid and massive technological development)
The workshop showed (the need to move towards implementing e-government, the need to enact legislation and laws that are appropriate for electronic transactions to fill any legislative vacuum, and to work on qualifying and training state employees to be aware of using computers and related programs, and to keep abreast of technical developments that support the application of e-government)
