The Pharmaceutics Department of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled (Newsome: A New Drug Delivery System) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The episode included a lecture given by Assistant Lecturer Ola Jawad Naji, in which she demonstrated the benefit of manufacturing Niosome for the purpose of delivering the drug to diseased tissues or the target site in the human body, in addition to improving the transit of the drug through the skin and eyes and increasing the bioavailability of drugs inside the body.
The aim of manufacturing Niosome is to deliver the drug to the target place or the patient inside the body and prevent it from reaching non-disease tissues and cells, thus obtaining the highest effectiveness of the drug in the target place and reducing its side effects on the rest of the body.
