The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the phenotypic and molecular characterization of the intermediate host of the liver worm in the Chibayish Marshes.
The lecture presented by the researcher Maha Saddam Ghaji included a study of the phenotype and measurement of the shell dimensions of this worm and confirming the presence of polymorphism in it and the use of molecular techniques (mitochondrial genes and nuclear genes) and bioinformatics as it proved the presence of this host in Dhi Qar Governorate.
