A teacher at the College of Education for Human Sciences presents a panel discussion at Al-Kunooze University as part of the university's activities related to women's empowerment.
Professor Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqer at the College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra - Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences and within the activities of the University of Basra on empowering women on (women's rights between reality and hope) presented a panel discussion aimed at clarifying the concept of empowerment, and balance in dealing with it according to the divine classification For men and women, a classification that gives everyone his right.
Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqer referred to this and explained that classification by stating the rights and duties of women in Islam, and that these rights and duties are based on that divine classification just as the rights and duties of men were based on the same classification, which negates the mental or moral distinction that some promote to adopt as a deficiency.
The recommendations that came out of the panel discussion were based on these data to be formulated as follows:
1- Returning to God and to religion, which is a return to integration, so guardianship is protection, responsibility and consideration for women because of their biological and psychological formation, not guardianship and imposing conditions and accountability, as women are the sisters of men, and this is what the Holy Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (may God bless him and his family and grant him peace) said.
2- The need to develop social awareness of women's issues and empowerment, by organizing educational programs and media events aimed at changing misconceptions and misconceptions about women's empowerment and their developmental role in society.
3- Reconsidering some legal legislation related to women and the family, in a way that contributes to increasing the empowerment of society and removing all obstacles to their participation in development to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
4- Developing a general national strategy that includes the efforts exerted in the field of empowering women so as to achieve integration and coordination between the parties and institutions of society.
5- The need to continue the approach of empowering women through many positive initiatives, including enhancing economic opportunities for women and benefiting from information technology, as well as providing an enabling environment for women to work.
