I researched a master's thesis in the Department of Arabic Language / College of Education for Human Sciences / University of Basra - Authority and its impact on the poetry of Ali bin Al-Jahm - for the student (Abbas Jassem Muhammad) under the supervision of Dr. (Farha Aziz Mohsen).
The thesis dealt with .. a study of power and its impact on the poetry of Ali bin al-Jahm to analyze the poetic texts and shed light on the structure of the discourse and the symbolism of its vocabulary and its function in serving the political, religious and social authority through the selected models of his poetry, and to reveal the impact of power in shaping the poetic text of the poet Ali bin al-Jahm and show the subtleties involved in the text.
The thesis concludes that the poet Ali ibn al-Jahm is one of the submissive poets who are submissive to their masters. The contemplator of his poetry finds that he is aligned with the policy of the Abbasids and submissive to their rulers.
