The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a panel discussion on organic fertilizer as a pioneering method for treating soils contaminated with crude oil.
The seminar in which the postgraduate student - Masters, Nemat Abdul Karim Mohsen, lectured, aims to recycle organic waste by fungi to produce organic fertilizer and use it to treat oil pollutants in the soil.
The seminar dealt with the possibility of manufacturing organic fertilizer by vertebrates to treat sites with soils contaminated with oil residues.
