The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a guidance lecture on drug control.
The lecture dealt with a classification of the types of natural and manufactured narcotic substances, the dangers of each type of them, what are the symptoms that appear on drug users, how to identify drug addicts, and how to deal with them to overcome this problem and find out the reasons for its spread among university students.
The lecture aims to raise awareness about the danger of drugs on the individual and society, especially students and youth.
The lecture referred to the need for state institutions to unite to eliminate this extraneous phenomenon to Iraqi society, and expressed several proposals that were submitted to the presidency of the university, the most important of which is providing an examination that guarantees that the student does not abuse drugs, and the need to provide an examination device to identify the person who abuses in all hospitals in Basra Governorate.
