The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, received the delegation of the Italian company Eni, which included Barbara Minoo, director of sustainable projects in the company Eni in Italy, Riccardo Ridelli, professor and representative of the University of Catholica, and Mustafa Odeh, director of sustainable development and community investment in Iraq.
The meeting discussed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation in the field of community service, training and development for students, and investing the scientific expertise of the university in projects implemented by Italian companies in the governorate.
Dr. Muhammad Nasir Fares stated that it was agreed that the university would contribute to the educational projects that will be implemented by the Italian company Eni, which aims to develop the educational cadres of the educational institutions affiliated to the education of Basra Governorate, as well as work to conclude cooperation agreements with Italian universities in the scientific fields to serve the achievement of the goals of the university in strengthening its scientific and academic standing in international forums.
