The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a symposium on the occasion of the International Day for Comprehensive Health Coverage.
The symposium, in which Prof. Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa, Dr. Hisham Hussein Abdel Raouf and Dr. Firas Abdel Qader Jassim lectured, included an explanation of the importance of the International Day for Universal Health Coverage, which stipulates the need for all the inhabitants of the globe to have access to good, affordable and low-cost health care.
The symposium aims to increase care coverage of four goals by 2030 that are essential to reaching the sustainable development goals, achieving the global strategy for women's, children's and adolescents' health, and universal health coverage for all.
