The College of Computer Science and Information Technology participated in the Cultural Week of the University of Basrah, which was hosted by Ferdowsi University in the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by its president, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud, and the accompanying delegation of university professors.
The joint cultural week included scientific lectures in various disciplines from both the Iraqi and Iranian sides, the opening of a library and a center for Arab studies in which professors from the University of Basrah will give lectures, as well as five-a-side football and volleyball matches, plays, cultural sessions, and tours in the colleges and research centers of Ferdowsi University to see the progress of the scientific process in it.
It is worth mentioning that these meetings come as a result of joint cooperation between Iraqi universities and neighboring countries, which enhances the scientific aspect and develops relations between the two sides.
