The University of Basrah team won the Universities Chess Championship for the academic year 2022_2023 held at the Southern Technical University.
52 Iraqi public and private universities from all governorates of Iraq participated in the competition, with the active participation of students from the College of Education for Women, the College of Engineering, the College of Medicine, and the College of Administration and Economics.
The student in the third stage of the College of Medicine, Nour Al-Huda Muhammad, won the first place in Iraq, and the two students in the fourth stage of the College of Medicine, Hassanein Wathiq Firon and Mustafa Ali Jassim, won the third place in Iraq.
