The College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra holds its theater festival on the occasion of receiving new students in the first stage.
The College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra held a large theatrical festival on the occasion of receiving new students in the first stage, on Monday 12/26/2022 at the college theater in the halls complex.
The festival included two theatrical performances. The first was titled (Juha and the Kabwe), which dealt with the civilizational conflict between the Arab identity and the American West in a comical and critical way, in an attempt to show the Arab civilized face that accommodates the rise of generations with their identity. The second performance was titled (Circle of Light) and aimed to communicate A message about the conflict that takes place between an old one that has taken control of a rule, and a new one that is trying to usurp it, and how arrogance pushes towards polluting the human instinct to become obsessed with it to satisfy his inclinations.
Note that the theatrical scripts were written by Prof. Dr. Imad Moklef Asal, a teacher in the Department of History, in addition to directing the two works as well, with the supervision of the six friend Muhammad Jaber / student activities for the two plays.
Roles were played by students from the College of Education for Human Sciences, while filming and media preparation was done by the Relations and Media Unit in the College.
Prof. Dr. Hamid Siraj Jaber, Dean of the Faculty, honored the participants in the theatrical performance with certificates of appreciation. In appreciation of their role in this purposeful awareness work.
It is noteworthy that the College of Education for Human Sciences received more than (1,000) students this year, in its seven majors. The dean of the college and his assistants gave important lectures to new students about the university environment, disciplinary matters, and the laws followed in the college. This festival was a continuation of these lectures and the counseling program.
