The College of Dentistry held a scientific lecture regarding the danger of biopsy in the development of malignant tumors, delivered by Dr. Ali Abbas Al-Shawi.
The lecture showed the importance of sampling for cancer patients, which is considered the basis for diagnosing the disease, taking into account not to repeat the sampling more than once and not to delay the surgical operation for more than five days, which may be one of the serious causes of the spread of the cancerous tumor.
The lecture referred to some documented scientific studies that prove this to be true.
The lecture aims to alert surgeons to the need to adhere to these studies and that disregarding them poses an extreme danger to the patient's life.
