Prof. Dr. Hana Abd al-Nabi al-Abbadi addressed the definition of religious extremism, which is one of the patterns of religious thinking that tends to be hardened on values, standards and practices against society and the world.
Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Thajib also dealt with the role of Imam Al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, in confronting religious extremism. The follower of the biography of Imam Al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, found that he, peace be upon him, had an effective role in confronting religious extremism, through his acceptance of doctrinal pluralism and his rejection of monotheism and takfir.
Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Abdel-Latif explained the most important means of treatment for religious extremism in terms of renouncing division and devoting individual relations in purity, affection, and rapprochement of ideas, and she clarified the role of psychological counseling in combating intolerance.
The symposium concluded with Assistant Professor Dr. Rafif Abdel-Hafez Al-Riahi discussing the effects of religious extremism and its effects on the individual and society, and how our children avoid destructive negative thoughts that reduce their positive attitudes and optimism.
