The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium on scientific honesty in research and studies.
The symposium, in which Dr. Hussein Abdel Qader lectured, aims to point out that there are several definitions of scientific honesty, including that it is the scientific ethics that science students and researchers must abide by and take into account in their research.
There is a narrow trend that defines it as the researcher’s use of the efforts of others, quoting from them, and merging them in his research with reference to the original so that they are references that the researcher used properly without attributing them to himself. As well as not ignoring the sayings or actions of others, and dealing with caution with previous studies and refraining from any study that conflicts with religious and societal values and principles.
Carrying out studies and research in a humane manner, and refraining from anything that detracts from human dignity, or conflicts with human values, customs, and traditions.
