Basra University discusses (motives towards violence and their relationship to neurotic experiences among university students)
A panel discussion in the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance in the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra for the master’s student “Hunayn Salam Dawood discusses (motives towards violence and their relationship to neurotic experiences among university students).
The researcher dealt with the problem of her research, which she was inspired by the events that the Iraqi people were subjected to and endured a lot of psychological pressures, which caused the emergence of behavioral problems among a sample of university students, which is a deviation from the goals of educational policy, and the motives towards violence are one of the most important of those behavioral problems It has become prevalent among students in recent times, which has negatively affected society in general and individuals in particular.
The researcher also referred to the second variable in her thesis “Neurotic experiences,” which are preparations that lead to neurosis and lead to states of tension, anxiety, and psychological and social instability, which may be rooted in the influence of the cultural and social environment, and in light of these two variables, the current research aims to measure the motivations towards violence in Students of Al-Qadisiyah University and the measurement of neurotic experiences among students of Al-Qadisiyah University, as well as the disclosure of the relationship between the variable of motives towards violence and neurotic experiences). It also included the researcher's presentation of the methodological procedures that she adopted in selecting her research sample and building the measurement tools adopted in the research. In light of the findings of the research, the researcher recommended strengthening a state of violence among university students and enhancing it in general, so that it remains valid.
