The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on how to isolate and purify bacteria in pure cultures and the techniques used for drug sensitivity tests, in the presence of doctors from the veterinary hospital and postgraduate students.
The workshop aimed to learn how to culture and purify bacteria and conduct drug sensitivity tests.
The workshop, in which Dr. Alia Sebti, Dr. Rana Adnan and Dr. Hassan Mohamed lectured, included how to isolate and purify bacteria in pure cultures, the method of conducting drug sensitivity tests, as well as the protocols used in dealing with samples, in addition to the practical side that took place in the Central Research Unit of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
