The instructor at the College of Law at the University of Basrah, Lecturer Wahj Khadir Abbas, participated in the workshop organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Permanent National Committee for International Humanitarian Law in Iraq in Al-Najaf Governorate
The workshop dealt with the role of the International Committee of the Red Cross in applying international humanitarian law at the national level, the role of academics in this field, the issue of missing persons in international humanitarian law, the extent of international cooperation in this field, and international humanitarian law in Islam and its applications.
