The Date Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on palm service operations.
The seminar, which was presented by the lecturer Abdel Samad Abboud Abdullah, aimed to explain the best ways to serve and sustain palm trees and to avoid some of the mistakes that farmers make.
The seminar included an explanation of optimal irrigation, the correct method of organic and chemical fertilization, methods of reducing fruits, trimming leaf bases, and methods of preventing some pests harmful to growth and production.
