
A master's thesis at the College of Law at the University of Basrah discussed legal protection in owning unregistered real estate.
The thesis presented by the student Riam Lazim Abed indicated that the real estate registry is one of the most important systems, due to the role it plays in protecting real estate property, preserving the rights of individuals, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to claim his right and the right to register it, and since the winds of change in this era have hit particularly important legal ideas in real estate, therefore, the research is concerned with studying the legal protection of unregistered real estate, due to the importance of the subject from a practical and theoretical point of view, through knowledge of the stability of real estate ownership, the protection of the rights located on it, and the achievement of reassurance in transactions in particular.
The thesis aims to clarify the legal texts related to the ownership of unregistered real estate, which are of great importance in the aspects of economic and social life and their impact on establishing the principle of stability in dealings between individuals and complete reassurance in the process of documenting actions and guaranteeing the rights of individuals resulting from them.
