During a meeting with the Ambassador of Republic of Turkey to Baghdad, Mr. Alireza Kony and his accompanying delegation, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed the development of aspects of scientific cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed Iraq and its institutions’ keenness on developing bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries according to the requirements of the common interest of the two nations.
He stressed on the importance of scientific and academic coordination, cultural relations between Iraqi and Turkish universities and the development of mutual scholarship programs in light of the contexts of understanding adopted by both sides.
For his part, Mr. Kony expressed his appreciations to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi for developing cultural, scientific and academic cooperation.
Mr. Kony reviewed that the Turkish side is working to increase granted scholarships to Iraqi students and proceed with joint academic projects between Iraq and Turkey.
