The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis entitled (Analysis and measurement of the impact of the money supply on economic growth in Iraq using the ARDL methodology for the period from 2003-2020).
The researcher (Shahad Hassoun Radi)’s thesis aims to analyze the developments of both the money supply and economic growth in Iraq during the period of the study, and to measure the effect of the money supply on economic growth in Iraq using the (ARDL) methodology.
The study concluded that the phenomenon of monetary expansion appeared in a way that is not commensurate with the development in the volume of economic activity, as it was noted that the growth rates of the money supply greatly exceeded the rates of gross domestic growth and that monetary policy is ineffective in regulating the money supply in line with the growth of the gross domestic product.
