A doctoral dissertation at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, examined non-standardism and its dominance in contemporary global formation. The thesis presented by the researcher (Hisham Rahim Muslim Thamer) included the topic of the phenomenon of non-standardism and its impact on contemporary societies, and based on the definitions of many philosophers and critics as a social phenomenon that affects the work of art and at other times as understood in the artwork itself.
The thesis discussed revealing the nature of non-normative domination and how it dominated the artistic work, based on a number of philosophical and critical concepts and visions.
The thesis concluded that there is an existing relationship in light of non-standardization between industrial production and broad artistic production, as the rules of production that artists follow are minimal.
