
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, affirmed that the adoption of the Bologna track in universities represents the gateway to modernization and development of the higher education system in Iraq.
In his speech during the meeting with the Council of Dhi Qar University, the Minister of Higher Education stated that the decision to adopt the Bologna track and the course system in Iraqi universities is an important step to enhance the quality of education, modernize its curricula, and meet the needs of the labor market and the skills it requires.
He added that the process of developing educational systems is linked to the current and future general changes required by community service and its relationship with the various sectors of the state responsible for embodying development goals and plans that are based on projects aimed at improving the capabilities of graduates.
The Minister of Higher Education listened to the suggestions of deans of the colleges to develop the educational environment, some of which included a proposal to create specialized centers, colleges and scientific departments that meet the renewable needs in Dhi Qar Governorate.
